Musical Land
“When words fail, music speaks.”
What are musicals?
Musicals are stories or part of a story that is sung. Either it be the whole story like hamilton and epic, or like heathers and the greatest showman.
Musicals can also be like disney films. Like for example, frozen. You may not know this but frozen is a musical. Why? Because the shows represent strong emotions being sung.
Basically, almost every movie is a musical if you think about it. A musical isn’t just a full on story that is sung by song. It’s also when the song narrates a scene for the plot or when a character sings to express emotions.
Basically, a lot of movies and shows are musicals, just more known as a movie or show and some don’t even know it’s a musical.
Why are musicals Important?
Because Musicals express the story or narrative with much more emotions than just being said. Also because full musicals like the ones in broadway tells a story that captures every emotion. Just reading or it being said, it might feel like it’s just a story, but with the music capturing it’s emotions through songs, it is a lot more than just a story.
How does musicals form a person or change them?
It can change their perspective of things. Persuade them into a lot of things.
Some get influenced to make their own musical, some write stories, be creative, get into theatre, and many more. Maybe that’s what they want for a career, and influence more people.
Some even experience realization or derealization. And that’s okay. Because you can express yourself through the songs you write. You learn, change, and grow.
